Positive Reinforcement was founded in early 2017 by Emma Ward, Alexander Albrecht and Maxwell Stuart: three hospitality and event management professionals with extensive experience in organising and hosting events in Melbourne and beyond.
Hospitality and event culture has shifted significantly in recent years, with an increased focus on creating safer spaces for more diverse crowds. Collectively, the founders of Positive Reinforcement identified that this shift has increased the demand for a specific type of Crowd Control Officer (CCO) - a demand they felt was not being met by any existing security company.
Positive Reinforcement is licensed by the Victorian Police to provide CCOs to venues and events.
All our CCOs have completed, as a minimum, Certificate II in Security Operations which covers training in the Responsible Service of Alcohol, and the application of first aid.
Positive Reinforcement CCOs are also required to undergo additional training. This training provides a response protocol to incidents of sexual harassment and assault, assists in managing unconscious bias, improves outcomes when working with the LGBTQI community, develops awareness around working with drug-affected patrons, and introduces alternative conflict resolution methods.
